Hi,
We have a couple of 9-10 week old chicks, a much large 9 week old duck and a smaller 7-8 week old chick.
The smaller Cochin keeps trying to climb onto the backs of the other chicks and the duckling. It only does this when they are all resting, or about to, and does not do it while scratting, eating, drinking, playing etc.
Notes about the climbing:
1. It's not agressive, just a casual climb
2. If successful the Cochin instantly just sits down and starts snoozing.
3. The duck gets climbed on most
4. The Cochin loves attention and will climb on you if it gets the chance
5. The cochin likes stretching it's neck out and using the other chicks/duck as "pillows"
Cheers,
Woka
