Chick neary drowned

I found her in the water bucket almost dead. She's about 7-8 weeks old.

I've dried her off with a hair dryer and have her sitting on a hot water bottle next to me.

She's twisting her head from side to side but cheeps when I make clucking noises to her.

Oh, goodness - I'm so sorry you found her this way, but at least you found her! Warm and dark - that will keep the stress down so she can recuperate. I hope that's all she needs - good luck!

7-8 weeks seems pretty young to be in danger of drowning.

Yeah, I'm so glad I decided to go give them some bread when I did. I noticed one was missing and checked in the coop.
