Im not sure how it happened but I have a chick fully out of the shell, too soon. There are 2 more eggs out of 13 to hatch, all under a very experienced broody. I have this little one inside atm in a plastic zip lock bag with a very large hole (piece cut out of it), sitting on towel on a bed of heated rice. When it was brought in to me it was freezing cold, its alive chirping (a little) and kicking (a little). There was some bleeding, that has stopped and there is a small amount of yoke sac still to be absorbed. I used the plastic zip lock bag to keep the wet yoke sac from drying out - humidity is present in the bag - this is good ? Im heating more rice in a slow cooker - what temp should I be aiming for ?
