Is this Poop ok for Baby Chicks kept inside on medicated chick starter? Has yellowish tint to it

Oh my, that linked article was...um... :sick :sick:sick

But also a great read. Thank you!☺

OP, this may seem kinda dumb, but do your chicks have access to clean water? If you’re concerned about bacterial infection, you can add ACV or sprinkle some garlic, cinnamon, oregano, or bee pollen on their food. All are natural chicken antibiotics, and are good for the babies anyway. Besides, they love it and gobble it up! 😄

Oh, yes, PLEASE, more poo pics!🤪🙃

*AHEM* Sorry. Hard to tell for me anyway, but I’m no expert. A little yellower and foamier than I’d like to see. Like I said, ACV, garlic, cinnamon, oregano, bee pollen. Or honey, if they’ll eat it. If they are big enough to swallow sweet corn niblets, dash the stuff on them, they go ape over it. Got last year’s babies through a terrible bout of salmonella with “Nibbies”. ☺

I don't see anything alarming about this poo, no blood or discoloration. Are all of the poos somewhat runny? Things to consider if there's lot of runny poo, we want so badly to keep our chicks toasty warm that we sometimes forget that they also need to be able to get away from the heat. Is there a space in their brooder where they can get away from the heat source? Being hot all the time will increase the amount of water they drink, causing runny poo. If it only occasionally looks like this then I would say there's nothing to worry about.

Thank you. I have backed their heat source up some as they tell me when they dont want it Not runny pooh tho im just trying to get familiar with baby chick Pooh. You all are a great help to me.

Can you get a clearer photo of the poop and also size the photo larger. Boy, we don't ask for much LOL

You are feeding Medicated chick starter, are you adding anything to the water such as vitamins/electrolytes?

I would just go with feed and plain water.

Observing behavior is always very helpful when looking at poop/overall health. How are the chicks acting - active, eating/drinking - then you are good. If they are all huddled or puffed up, they aren't eating/drinking well, they are mostly staying under the heat, etc., then it's time to investigate. (but more photos of poop are welcome)
