    My chicks are about a week old. When is it safe to dust them with permectrin powder? Karen

    mmmm, I dont know. Is there a 800 number on the package to call the manufacturer? They should know.

    If you don't see any bugs, don't worry about it...

    You don't need to prophylactically treat young chicks for mites/lice unless they are with a mom who has it...
