I'm a new chick owner, so every little thing makes me nervous :(. Today one of my six chicks seems a little under the weather. She's generally staying away from the rest of the flock, and standing by the heat lamp. She dozes off standing up a lot. Her poop seems fine, though I will continue to observe. She's a bit less active than usual, but she is eating and drinking normally. She is 3 weeks old. Should I separate her from the rest of the flock for fear of Cocci, or am I overreacting?

    Thank you :).

If I were you, I would separate her for a bit and see how things go. If possible you should keep her in the brooder with the other chicks but don't let them get to her or touch her. Went through the same issue and that's how I solved it. But mine wasn't cocci, not sure what it was.:p

Thank you for your reply! I have added some Sav-a-Chick electrolytes to her water, and she's drinking. I'll seperate her soon and hope she doesn't worsen :)
