Chick starter/grower

Hi! Chicks coming this week and wanted to make sure I have the right idea on what/how long to feed.

How long do you keep chicks on medicated starter? Could I feed the medicated starter until the bag runs out then switch to a non-medicated starter?

Then feed the non medicated starter until they start laying and switch to a layer feed ?

That is exactly what I’m doing now and what I plan to continue to do! Sounds like a great plan to me

The way I look at it is that if you use the medicated feed, it would kind of be like strep throat meds, when your perfectly healthy, you especially don't need it if your chicks are vaccinated. I like to use Purina Start/Grow. (It comes in medicated and non medicated) You can feed it unroll they are 18-22 weeks, or whenever you get that first egg. Good luck!
