chick still attached to egg!

this is my second batch of babies. Only one passed out of 12 last time (yay me) this time I'm hatching bantam cochin. all of the chicks have hatched and r out of there eggs but one. he has been attached for 28 hours now! Is there anything I can do to help? I know if u pull it the baby can bleed to death. But how long should I leave it. I would think some kind of infection could start? ?.....
