Chick swallowed a long hair

A three week old chick swallowed a really long hair. Is this going to be a problem?

Should be fine and just come out the other end... hopefully in a ball instead of in a string like fashion.

I would not think so since hair is made of something similar to feathers and my chickens used to think it was great to eat feathers. as for the size as long as it all is in there and dosnt get stuck it should be fine, but you should watch her just in case

If an animal swallows anything long like cotton it is important not to pull it. It can act like cheese wire and do a nasty injury. Hopefully the hair will just go straight through naturally.
