I throw in a cob of corn. At first they eye it off suspiciously , but then they devour it . Next one you give them, they'll know exactly what to do with it.

Hello and welcome to BYC [IMG] You can give them mealworms, scrambled egg, greens like spinach, stale bread (preferably brown), leftover porridge, corn on the cob.... Just make sure you don't give them anything salty and that you provide grit to help them digest it. Coarse sand sprinkled over their food would do. They may be a bit spooked by the new food at first, but leave them to it, they'll learn quickly!

I agree, good advice. Welcome to BYC. 3 weeks is such a fun age -- I also recommend plain nonfat yogurt -- nonflavored. They look really funny eating it too!

ps -- fancychooklady -- awesome picture of the chick in flight.
