Chick w/ hard "round as a golfball" butt -- c

    I cleaned her yellow gunk off her vent and the vent looks fine. However no feathers on fanny and very hard and don't know how to clear.[​IMG] Chick sleeps all day and 1/2 the size of her sister.

    Thanks. I can't find anything else in her vent. It looks normal except for the hard swelling. I think I may try prep h. I'm afraid I'll lose her soon.

    BTW, I'm a newbie too. I have four 7 week olds (Buff O, Rhode Island Red, Black Sex Link, and Golden Wyanotte), a 4 week old Americauna and two 2 week old Mille Fiore Leghorns.

    I think I'm getting a bit obsessed with the whole chicken thing. [​IMG]
