Hellooo
I thought it would be helpful (and fun?) to see the weekly growth / age progression of my chicks! I guess it could also help with sexing...This is going to be from day 1 to week 8 for five babies (2 silkies, 3 polish / silkie crosses)
I also have 'weekly' photos of another silkie and a maran. (But the photos are not strictly weekly, they still show their progression though)
This is Lemon, silkie, who I BELIEVE to be a boy. His stance, tail feathers, pouff and tiny comb look boyish.
Next is Puff(ie), also a silkie, I'm not certain about the gender. But I'm leaning towards female due to tail shape only. This little one seems to get wry neck quite often unfortunately
Spunky, polish silkie cross, I think is female. Very strong polish caracteristiques! Also the sweetest little chicken
Oreo, male I believe, cross
Lastly is Jaffa, delicate girl I think. Also polish silkie cross
Next are Hope and Bud:
Bud is a partridge silkie, who looks very feminine. She's so sweet and shy, she's now 12 weeks old.
This is Hope, he was sexed as female, ended up being a rooster (lol) He's a handsome cuckoo and copper maran. I don't have a recent photo yet, but he's 12-13 weeks now and he's HUGE and looks so different to the photos.
I'm also waiting for 2 new arrivals, on day 17 atm.
