Here is a picture of my pullet. She is 5 weeks old and all
Of a sudden she became lame. No bruising or swelling . Nothing feels or looks broken. She is living alone but eating and drinking??? What should I do?
I was hoping she would just adapt [IMG]

You could try using a stick (like a stir stick) and taping and straightening the leg yourself. I would also make sure she isn't missing nutrients. Add vitamins to her water. What are you currently feeding her?

Medicated chick feed? I have given yogurt and I have vit for the water. Says once a month on the package? She is one of 8 in the flock and she is the only
One like this! [IMG]It's upsetting also the leg is straight she just won't put weight on it ?

I kept vitamins in my chicks water for their first 6 weeks. It sounds like the feed you have them on is fine. it's possible she did twist it or hurt it on something. Chickens are funny...really big babies. They act like "the sky is falling" with any little bump or disturbance! Give her a couple of days and see how it works out.

Just so I'm more clear. When I said tape I meant medical tape...not scotch tape or duct tape!
