Chick will not quit pecking his feet.

He has his feet bleeding, will not quit pecking them. I have put ointment on them, grease, washed them twice.

Any suggestions?

Hungry? Sounds like he's hungry. What type of bedding do you have? How old is he? Is he alone? I'd give him deep pine bedding and then make sure he's got a lot of feed in front of him...if he's old enough for greens, give him some....blue-kote works very well or you could try some hot pick....

Ouch!!! That sounds painfully awful! Can you distract him with "treats" of some kind?? Have you checked for possibly mites or something on the feet that could be itchy??? I'm just guessing. Hopefully you'll hear some useful suggestions soon....

He just hatched 3 days ago. He has plenty of food and fresh water. He pecks at them horribly.

He gets worse if I try to put anything on them. What is Hot Pick?
