I have this baby chick that has messed up wings. She has feathers that are turned out almost like angel wing on one side along with a piece that sticks out that looks like it's been clipped or torn. The other side her feathers are short and her wings appear smaller. Any help appreciated.

I hope someone who has raised ISAs comes by to chime in, since I haven't raised that particular breed. The feathering does look kind of funky - which is why I asked about breed. The feed's protein percentage (and assuming it's chick starter) seems appropriate, too.

She may simply molt those odd feathers out and the new ones may look normal, unless she has some kind of genetic feathering issue.

Well now that yu mentioned it, it does look like a molting process, I had trouble with this particular one she almost died. She forgot to eat and drank and got dehydrated and weak I had to syringe sugar water for a 30 mins and after that she came back around and ate some feed and she's been fine since. But she is the 2nd smallest, out of 8. But she is my favorite I wanna make sure she is okay.

I have one chick, a Rhode Island Red and Cream Legbar cross, that has funky wings as she has started to feather. The chicks are 5 days old, all have substantial wing feather growth, but this one is the only one that doesn't have the feathers laying neatly along her sides.

I've read quite a few posts saying they tend to grow out of it but thought I might post a photo anyway. A little reassurance goes a long way! :)
