Chick with abnormal eye size

My 2 week old polish chick has a very abnormal sized eye. He/she can’t see out of the eye. He can still eat and drink, and acts normal. The eye has been like this for 3 days, not sure what causes this.

Here’s a chick the same age to compare the eyes with.

I think it's a congenital eye disorder. Maybe excess fluid of the eye, or it just developed an extra large eye.

Either way, I wouldn't worry.

Thank u so much @MysteryChicken, can I give it away as a pet? Is. Is polish cross. He or she does have 5 toes probably from some of my silkie cross Roos or hens.

That is a common birth defect in chickens. Usually the eye is blind, and it sometimes becomes deflated. Some chicks have it in one eye or both? I would probably watch it for some time to see if the chick can get around and find food and water.

Unkown, but with most birth defects,Iwould not breed the chick. Is the chick doing well? Is the eye still bulging or is it seeing?

The chick is still doing great eating drinking. Eye is still bulging and still can’t see.
