I would guess that you could cover those areas with Blu-kote which is available in most farm stores. It is a dark blue colored antiseptic camouflage agent. I use it when the birds have pecked each other and/or pulled feathers. The red color attracts their attention, the blue color allows the area a chance to heal. I don't know if your bird was pecked or just has bald areas, but it is something you might consider. Sometimes people remove a pecked chick from the group to prevent further pecking, as well, but in those instances you usually need a buddy chick to be in with the one who is removed.
