Chick with black toe! Scaley Mites?

We got our chicks yesterday and today my oldest daughter noticed that Peep has a black toe. It almost looks like it got smashed and now it's dead. She is eating and drinking good, just sometimes wobbles. Should I be concerned? Looking at the picture now, it looks like it might be a little swollen...scaley mites???? Ugh...don't know....first time with chickens. Any help would be appreciated!

I woke up this morning and she was flat on the ground with her eyes closed barely peeping. I picked her up, she was so weak she couldn't lift her head. I held her in my hand and tried to get her to drink, but she wouldn't. She died in my hand

. The girls had some friends stay over last night, so they are out burying her now. They took it pretty well.
