We have a week and a half old chick that is eating and drinking when we put her near food and water, but cannot stand or walk. She was walking fine up to a couple days ago. We are putting her near food and water throughout the day and she seems healthy in every other way, just can't stand. One foot appears to be reddish and swollen, can anyone suggest what might help her foot heal or what else it may be?
We have given her poly-vi-sol in her water, boiled egg, chick starter food, etc. We have 6 chicks total and they are on pine shavings, so no slick surfaces. All other 5 of her friends are doing well. We thought we read somewhere that you could give them very dilute liquid aspirin to maybe help with the injury/swelling?
    Her new nick-name is drama-queen.
