Hi! I have a LF Cochin chick around 2 weeks old that seems to have come down with a respiratory infection. I had one or two of my Hamburgs get it as well a couple days before. They have heat lamps but the basement is a little cool. Anyway, the 2 Hamburgs were better in a day. I have them all on Medicated Chick Food, Duramyacin to their water and exchange their water every three times with Sav-A-chick. The Cochin is a little trooper - he has quite a load sneeze and is mouth breathing. But is running around, alert and sleeping with his pals. No drooping wings, no closed eyes or lethargy. No mucousal poop and no nasal discharge. I am concerned though because he sneezes so hard you can hear it in three rooms! He isn't degrading but doesn't seem to b e getting much better than the first day's improvement either.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!!
