chick with valgus leg syndrome

would it be better just to put the chick down? the leg simply won’t budge and i don’t want the baby to live in pain for the rest of its life, help!

Like a slipped tendon? Or perosis? It depends on the severity. If the chick is in pain it will make more noise and probably won't participate much. Use your own judgment, and keep in mind whatever your chicken keeping goals are.

I used to say cull until I had one this year. It has managed to hang in there, and gets around. Since I cannot catch it to cull it we have let it go.
