Hi all! I'm just posting here for an input, I have some newborn chicks and one was pooping out worms so I gave them all a drop of Ivomec to kill/prevent the worms... was this the right call? Im worried I may have hurt them without meaning too ah! I'm certain these were passed on from their mother, it happens!

Can you post a photo of the worms you saw? As I understood it, worms could not be passed through the egg from mother to chicks, especially newly hatched chicks, so I'm keen to learn more and improve my knowledge.

this photo isn't mine, but it looked exactly like this so I'm assuming it's round worm. Ugh just scary stuff

That doesn't look like roundworm to me, but you can't see it in as much detail as I would like.
I would be interested to know what @casportpony makes of it.

That would be wonderful thank you!! I'm just hoping I didn't make the wrong move by deworming them all but I gave them such a small dose
