Our rainbow assortment from MPC is supposed to ship today and that has me as giddy as a school girl. I'll post pics as soon as they arrive and I can get them uploaded.

Last night we came home from a weekend trip to Nashville to see Wicked ( I highly recommend it) to find that one of our Delawares has gone broody and is sitting on 13 eggs.

I'm not counting my chickens before they are hatched

but there should be a lot of little fluffy chicks around here.

I see that the intervention hasn't happened yet.

What will this get you up to now? How are the barred rock pullets doing?

Assuming no casulities in shipping and that if all the eggs were to hatch, it would put us at 67. We will certaily be thinning the flock this spring.

The barred rocks are great. They are the absolutely sweetest girls that we have. They jump into our laps looking for treats whenever we sit on the back porch. We ended up naming them Claree and Truvy because Steel Magnolias was on TV when we brought them home. Thanks for some great chickens!
