Chicken acting weird

Hi Peeps, One of my hens is acting really funny. I don't think she is sick but the other day they were pecking around my feet and one of them "puffed up" even the feathers on her head were standing up. She started walking and was doing a really low cluck, cluck, cluck. Then she stopped. It was kind of funny almost like she was telling the rooster to leave her alone but the rooster was not bothering her. She has done it several times since then. I was wondering if she is going Broody or what. She still eats and drinks and lays an egg every day..Thanks

She sounds broody to me. They start with being irritable, PMS - the vocalizations and puffing up sound typical. Soon she'll start sitting in a nest or where she thinks is a good broody place.
