I've made safe (for both chicken and chick) treats! here is what i did. and none of this was measured exactly!!
first I took a little less then a cup of water (depending on how much you want to make) and put it in a mixing bowl. then i took a mix of feed, grit, mealworms, oats, and flour and put a little of that in the water and mixed it. i repeated this until it wasn't too sticky any more and i could handle it. i then rolled it into the size balls i wanted and stuck it in the oven at 325 degrees for 3-5 minuets. i didnt cook for long because i wanted mine a little soft. finally give to you chicks/chickens and let them enjoy!!
