Well without a rooster, what is the best way to get them to try anything new? I have noticed they love any red fruits. Watermelon and strawberries, but I do not want to purchase those items just for my birds lol

Red colored stuff is definitely always a favorite. We give the tops of strawberries and the rind from the watermelon with a bit left on. As your birds get older they will try new stuff, as younger birds raised by humans they don't have a mother hen to tell them what is safe to eat so they are more wary. It can help to feed stuff they like along with new stuff so they try it. In a few months they will be more brave.

Ok awesome. My gardens already producing food so I would love to give them fresh organic green scraps
