I'm not sure, because I have never hatched chicks myself, but it does not sound normal to me. It could be that it is a bulge from absorbing the yolk before hatching. Does the chick seem to be acting normally?

It's probably the crop full from absorbing all the yolk.

I've had that before! Keep a eye on where the ombilical cord is. Make sure there is no infection. The one we had came out with a huge belly and we noticed the cord had gotten pulled out. But he grew to be a big healthy rooster. He kept the weird belly for about 2 months.

The belly should get a little smaller each day.
