This is one of my chickens named Raphaela. She is an Ameraucana who lays pretty blue-green eggs.
In every picture we take of her she looks so angry but she is actually one of our nicest chickens.
Awwww she's so cute! Her eyes look like the eyes of a box turtle
We refer to her as "Hangry Rafe," because she is always hungry, and very angry.
It sound like me and her have a lot in common. I have 14 chick 1 week old.
Red stars, pearl white leghorns, Rhode Island reds, black minorcas, and blue andulisians
I have 6 hens. (1 of each) Ameraucana, Astralorps, Minorca, Buff Orpington, RIR, and a Silver-laced Wyandotte.
Wow you have a lot of kinds. Do you have the list memorized? I have mine memorized.
We liked to look up there origins and stuff so it was important that we know their breeds. I also don't have that many so it is not hard.
But we would do stuff like this.
Minorca: originated in Spain.
So then we would say this: The Santa Minorca has set sail! It is really fun.
We are down to 13 chicks one died in the night and I am surprised another one did not die we got home aroun 3:00 and we had been gone since 9:00 and one had jumped out of the brooder when I found her she was cold it was below 70 it looked as if she had stayed in one spot she had pooped there 4 times she is fine now.
Aw I'm sorry. It really stinks to lose a chicken.
