So I saw a wreath made to look like a chicken on facebook.

We've been making regular fraser fir, magnolia, as well as mixed evergreen wreaths at work. Business is slowing down so I decided to make a wreath that somewhat resembleda chicken haha...

Started with some wild grape vine and chicken wire, then stuck in boxwood with a little wire for the stubborn pieces. I used some arborvitae for the hackles and wing, then used the fraser fir for the beak.

It didnt look nice enough to sell, but it was fun and looked slightly better in person than in pics haha.

    Enjoy BYC :p

I think that's AWESOME!!! Could you just sharpen the beak a bit? I think that might help sell the idea. But it's creative and excellently executed. I especially like the wings.

I hope everything you used will dry so that the wreath stays intact. I can see freshening up the dried greens with some Spring flowers for a brand new lease on life.

Fixed the beak today, thought about removing the legs but they make it a lot funnier of a wreath. Going on my grandmas door tomorrow, will update when she sees it ;) IMG_4313.JPG

    Perfect!

Don't do a thing with the legs. They're great!

This is so creative and fun. No wonder you've got that fabulous smile!
