I have 2 web cams in my coop so that I can watch my chickens. One to watch them at night on the roost, and the other to watch them in the egg boxes.

    I have 5 chickens - 3 ISA Browns, 1 Porcelain D'uccle Bantam, 1 Araucana "Easter egg"

Here's a picture of them tonight on their roost.

You can see the little D'uccle wedged between two of the ISA Browns, and our Araucana on the right end.

Looks like they fluffed up their feathers for this cold night. It's 41 degrees outside now.

Love it. I get a similar fluffy butt view each night too.

Cute!! And the funny thing is that they often roost in the same spot on the bar and face the same direction. We had a puppy cam for years and I may have to do a coop cam someday. Fun!

What brand is your coop cam and where did you get it? Are you pleased with it? I am thinking of buying one. Thanks!

I also look for four fluffy butts before I put on my PJs at night. (They squish together so sometimes its hard to see them all.)

D-LINK DCS-932L DAY/NIGHT $79.99 at Staples in July. Currently they are selling it under D-Link 1150 Day/Night Network Cloud Camera Item: 71552 Model: DCS-933L

Very happy with it. Free app for my Droid phone so I can watch from anywhere! Includes night vision too. Also can log in from my desktop or laptop, or any computer anywhere in the world!

I actually have 2 in my coop (they aren't moveable).

You can see the web cam from the ceiling in this picture (it's above the Wind Fresh bucket that I'm using for a heated waterer this winter). This camera looks at the roost bar.

Here's a pic with the other cam showing my egg boxes.

Cams are on sale today thru next Saturday for $39.99 at Menards. This is a KILLER deal!

EDIT - Just noticed it doesn't have night vision.

So you have to view the D-LINK thru their internet site?
I doubt I would get a signal here, hardly anyone can use their cell phones at my place.
I wish I knew more about how to configure this stuff.
