Is it easier to get a prefab coop or are they going to be faulty?

I have 2 coops. One was a prefab and the other homemade. Prefab coops can be on the smaller side. I suggest getting or building a bigger coop than you think you need because of chicken math.

I suggest to make your own!! I have both. The pre fab is extremely disappointing. In fact ive attached it to the run as a nest box (extra) for my 11 girls. My home made coop is wonderful! I can walk inside, plenty of room for my 11 girls. Easy to clean . It stands about 8 feet high. When i ordered my pre fab i was so excited . When it arrived i cried as it looked like a toy version of what i ordered. The run was pathetic as well. I have both coop and run built by my hubby now. I can walk in both with plenty of room. Be catious if you order a pre fab, they usually are not what you think your getting and very expensive. Our home made coop cost about 400. And is made to function exactly like we wanted. The pre fab i spent that on and its no bigger than a large nest box so be careful!!
