Hi there,

So I started with 12 chicks. And they have all been healthy and happy. I have them in a huge bin with plenty of off and water. But now I just checked on them and I lost all but 2 overnight.. they were keeped inside where nothing could get to them.. any help would be appreciated or any thoughts of what could have happened

Thanks

They are 2 months old and you are still heating them?
Pasty butt can be caused by too much heat.

I'm not at home right now to get pictures but, they were set up in one on those huge rabbit pens with the wire cage on top. If I had to guess it is about 6 feet long and 3 or 4 feet wide. And the food was the starter stuff the guy told me to buy from tractor supply.

First...:welcome

Second...How old are they?
What is the temp of your brooder?

Are you making sure you are ONLY heating one side?

What does their poop look like?

Sorry for all the questions but they are necessary for a good answer to your q.

They were about a little less than 2 months. Only one side was heated with a heat lamp. There poop was normal. I had a issue at the start with the poop getting clogged bit i had already taken care of that. And ever since then they have been fine.

Will you please post a picture of your brooder. A Pic really is worth a thousand words.
