Over the passed two days we've had two deaths among our chickens. We had four bantams who all appeared really healthy, they were around 20 weeks old.
The first one we found dead one morning with no signs of choking or injury. The second we spotted the next day wasn't eating or drinking, she was just sitting quietly to herself. Within a few hours she wasn't drinking at all and was breathily really heavily (it's been really hot). We brought her inside where it was cooler and she died a few minutes later.
Any suggestions to what might have caused this as we're worried for out other chickens.
Thank you.

Welcome to BYC! It's possible they might have died from heat stroke. What kind of temperatures did you have? It's critical in very hot weather to provide lots of shade, very good coop ventilation, and plenty of fresh water for your chickens. Also, you might want to post this on our Emergencies, Diseases, Injuries, and Cures section at https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures Hopefully you won't lose any more chickens. Good luck!

How hot is it as I rarely loose a chicken to heat and it will get up to 129 F degrees some times up to several weeks a year ......

What are you putting in the water ,,,,,, Are you using ACV, Electrolyte, Probiotic ???????

Here if you have any egg's in the house try making some hard boiled egg's and serve one egg per ten chickens you have so one egg a day for a week and see if there is a difference and make sure you have clean water every day for you chickens .....

What kind of feed are you supplying your chickens with ?????

Without any other clues, it does sound like heat stroke. What are your temps? Chickens need shade, shade and more shade. If you don't have natural shade ( trees) you can make artificial shade by hanging a drop cloth over the hottest side of your coop.

Freeze gallon bottles with water and put out with the birds so they can be near them and cool off some. If you have a shallow pan put water in it, so they can cool their feet. Misting hoses can help, as can a fan, out of reach) - moving air always feels cooler.

Your birds need to be somewhere cooler before you loose more.
