Well since we've moved our chicks to the outdoor coop they've lacked a decent bathing station. Our yard has a lot of hard clay soil which is hard to work with a shovel let alone with chicken talons, so I bought several bags of topsoil and made a chicken bath area. They didn't know what to do with it on the first day but a few days ago I came home and found some chicken sized divits in the soil. Here's a video several days after that . They still haven't fully broke the soil up but they seem to really like it.
