Chicken eating eggs.

Hello!

Our silver wyandotte started being broody. We found a lady that sells eggs for hatching and got 12 eggs ( she added 2 extra so it was 14 eggs in total)
Now she is on her 12th day and she has eaten 6 eggs. Just now I went to check up on her and she cracked one right infront of my eyes. What could be the reason she is doing that? :/ it looks like by the time the eggs are ready to hatch she will have none under her

Did you see any chicks in the eggs she ate? If not, she might just be getting rid of some duds.

It's a bad habit and hard to break them once they start

No, they were just pretty much liquid. Todays egg had a really tiny chick that could be in its early stages and had stopped growing for whatever reason. :/

Update- we have 3 eggs left. It looks like she wants nothing to do with them.

As this is my first experience I am not sure about the eggs. When I candled them they looked like the egg number 18 on this chart.
