Has anyone ever experienced a chicken egg like this? If I didn't find it in my coop, I'd wonder whether there was a dragon or dino around! The chickens ate the contents of the egg so I didn't get to see if it was "normal" or not.
Any ideas what could cause this?

 Yikes  Shell looks pretty thick, did you crack it open or find it that way?
2x BigATC - What breed chicken lay that & how old is she? What do you feed? Looks like a new layer's system adjusting to the calcium, guessing an Olive Egger laid it?

It was cracked open and mostly empty when I found it in the coop. It had a bit of cloudy looking egg white in it. I feed organic layer feed and have been using the same feed for years. Also have oyster shells available for them to eat as desired. I was guessing it came from one of my 5-6 yr old Ameracaunas, but IDK for sure. I also have a 10 month old Ameracauna.
