chicken eggs are too strong

we have bought two sets of chickens from byc and we love them!
i feed them laying mash, starter, crumbles, and canned whole kernell corn.
why are the eggs way too strong in flavor.

Cause they HAVE flavor. I haven't eaten one of those paste tasting storebought eggs in years. If you want it to taste storebought, just feed your chickens that nasty "chicken house feed".

Welcome to BYC! eat your own home grown eggs for 3-6 months and then try store bought. You will say "what was i thinking, my eggs are the best"!!

I agree with Indianfeathers and others. The first time I ate eggs from chickens that actually saw the light of day and ate green things, I was put off by the "strong" taste. But that didn't last long and now I find store bought eggs insipid. Enjoy!!
