Last night we noticed one of our hens on top of the coop with her head in her back feathers. She wouldn’t move and we noticed her eye was sealed shut. We immediately put her in a dog kennel with Ropa Poultry water and put a respiratory salve under her wings and on her wattle. We also used neosporin on her eye. Today she seems to be eating somewhat, drinking and opening the infected eye briefly and then closing it again. Has this happened to anyone? Did they recover? What else can we do? Thank you.

Is that her only symptom? If so she probably got pecked or poked in the eye with something. This happened to one of my hens this summer. Kept her separated from the others and it was better in a couple days!
