OMG! I went to the coop the other day to get feed. I bought 1 50 lb bag of scratch mix and 1 50 lb bag of laying pellets- my bill was just shy of $30

I think I'm going to have to find someplace else to buy my feed, because that's just rediculous. Last year, the exact same trip would cost me about $17. Where does everyone buy their "reasonably" priced feed (reasonably being anything cheaper than what I'm already forking over). Or, how many other people are paying out the wazoo for their feed now?

I live in Washington State I'm paying around $33.00 for 2 bags, its not cheap any more to have chickens. But they give us so much joy that its worth every penny!

We pay roughly 12-15.00 for a 50 lb bag depending on protein levels. The scratch is about 13.00 a bag. We buy 4-5 bags of feed and 1 bag of scratch a WEEK, along with BOSS and birdseed...so yeah, I feel your pain...

Same here in PA, between 13 and 16 bucks a bag...my horse feed went up from 12 to 20 in the last four years...sheesh.
