I have had all my differnt breed chicken and roo's together. Now I want to separate some to get pure breed eggs to hatch. How long do they have to be away from the other roos before I get pure breed eggs??

And if you've had two roos, does the 'seed' of the two mix?

Quote:My guess is that the "normal" mating rules would apply here: The first sperm to get to the egg is the one that gets in! However, both could be present and in the race. So sequential eggs could have different Daddies. Does that make sense??

You can have chicks from the same female laid in the same week from multiple males.

Quote:That make sence because dogs are that way to- in a litter each pup can have a different daddy.
