Hello everyone, I think my hen Raven may have a sty, can anyone help on how I should treat this or do they clear up on their own? Thank you 😊

Looks like a minor injury, probably a peck or possibly a bug bite/sting. I would just keep an eye on it. Also possibly could be fowl pox. That is transmitted by mosquito usually, starts out looking like a small blister, will slowly darken and scab over, and the scab eventually drops off. That generally runs it's course in a few weeks and most birds do fine with it.

Yes, it did look like a bug bite to me at first, which could possibly be it, but it doesnt lookt o much like fowl pox to me, either way, the chicken seems like kt’ll be fine. :)

Should I try apply a luke warm cotton pad to it daily to help the healing process? I’ve read some people use various cotton pads soaked in tea I would just like to make sure she’s not in discomfort from it 😊
Yes, that seems fine. make sure its not to hot!

You can get someone to hold her wrapped in a towel, disinfect the area, and probe it with a sterilized needle to see if there is a feather underneath it. Feather cysts are common in chickens.
