I had brought 6 India Blue eggs on ebay from SD to MI, and I put the eggs under my Buff Orpington/EE cross. She had a 100% hatch! [IMG] [IMG]

This is her sitting on the eggs

I have heard that sometimes the chicken turns on the hatchlings, how do you prevent that from happening? Are there certain chicken breeds that are more accommodating ?

    and congrats

How soon can you tell if the BS is a male or a female?

Quote:They will look India Blue because Bs is recessive. If some of the IB are carrying the Bs gene some of the offspring might be Bs
