Hi,
On Saturday one of my barred rocks was attacked by a hawk. We thought she was just struck on her back but on Sunday morning we noticed that he had struck her chest area. She has been eating and drinking although some of it falls out if the gash. She is drinking a lot of liquid. She has been out and about with the other chickens and roosting a night. She is not bleeding but clearly she has an opening under her chest.
Today she seems a little warn out so I have her isolated in the house with water and medicated chick food. She also did poop yesterday evening.
I at a loss as to what to do for her. She doesn't appear to be in pain. I keep thinking she will pass during the night but every morning she us up with the birds.
Has anyone tried superglue?
I really do not want to have to put her down.
Thank you!!!
