How much penicillin do I give my chicken and where is the best location for injecting?

How much depends on what kind of penicillin you have. It's usually injected into the breast muscle. For Penicillin G Procaine (what I usually use) dose I use is 0.1 cc per pound of body weight once a day for 5 - 7 days. If your penicillin does not contain Procaine, then usually the dose is usually split into two and given twice a day for at least a couple of days.

The dosing in the link is a little different than what I use, I have never had a problem dosing as I do. Please see the following link, post #9 for more dosing, which is closer to what I use:

Do you have, or can you get any amoxicillin? It's available online as a fish antibiotic that you can get without prescription (Aqua Mox), it's dosed orally, and often is more effective.
