Crystal Chick Out Of The Brooder

Hi all! I fell in love with a game hen that flew into my father-in-law's yard. He asked all of his neighbors and no one knew where she came from. Everyday I would drop by his house to check on her and feed her. One day, Dad said that he would build me a coop at my house if I would take her home. She was pooping all over his patio and he was tired of it. :) So, we built her a coop out of recycled materials and brought her home. We have had her now for 2 months and she just started laying eggs! My husband said that I would have to get rid of her if she didn't lay any eggs. She must have heard him. :) I have been researching everything I can find about chicken raising and found your site!
I ordered 10 barred rock chicken hatching eggs through the mail on Friday. They should be here by tomorrow and I can't get my incubator to stay at 100*. What do I do?

You don't need the brooder all the way at 100 you just need it in the 90s

I read that if you have a small fan to circulate the air it should be in the 90s but I don't have one so it said to keep it 100 to 105*. Is this wrong?

cool...where do you live? was she like a runaway pet maybe? or do you live in a place where there are wild game birds? that would be cool, though she looks like a brown leghorn.
