My chicken math is gonna go something like this:

Hatch everything that my girls lay
Buy (hopefully) Lemon MF d'Uccle eggs
    Buy Porcelain d'Uccle eggs

I should have well over 100 chicks at any given point once all of this years pullets start laying. [IMG]

These are my CURRENT plans (subject to (and will likely) change any time, LOL)...

Buy 15 White Rock pullets from Mt. Healthy Hatchery

Incubate for myself a total of about 150 eggs of the following breeds from my birds and friend's birds...

    Barred Rocks
    Rhode Island Reds
    Buff Orpingtons
    Black Sex-Links
    Red Sex-Links
    Easter Eggers
and a few planned mixes too!

Plus 48 Guinea eggs to replenish the free ranging flock...

And I'm also planning to incubate about 300 chicken and guinea eggs to sell. May even try my hand at bantam, turkey, goose, duck, or quail eggs too!

Can you tell I love hatching? [IMG]

Quote:I'm planning something similar! I'm getting the White Rocks and Barred Rocks to cross with Rhode Island Red and Buff Orpington roosters for sex-links! Except I'm not going to sell very many because I'll just end up with a bunch of roosters... I'll just hatch them for myself and close friends. [IMG]
