In the spring, our ducks killed all the new ducklings, so we put three eggs under a broody hen. Lo and behold, yesterday there were three baby ducks. They are in the house now because I was afraid the chickens might peck them. Any ideas what might happen if I put them with the ducks? (They are doing fine at two days in the house.)

Quote:If your ducks killed them before then Owould guess they will kill them again.. Broody mommas are a force to reconn with so she may be able tokeep the others offf the babes but I couldnt take the chance i would set mom and babies up in a seperate pen for now....

Ya, I think a separate pen would be good.
