Hi everyone! I've been getting a lot of your page pull up in my Google searches, so I decided to join.
I've wanted chickens for YEARS but we lived in a neighborhood that they weren't allowed. Last June, however, we moved to the country on 3 acres. We didn't get chickens right away, we have been working on the house.
Finally, my five kids convinced me it was time. So we went out and got 6 chicks (two turkens, one production blue, one blue laced Wyandotte, one silver leghorn, and one new Hampshire.). Then, a few days later, went to a feed store and got two Easter Eggers and two Brahmas. We have a smaller coop right now, but are expanding it in the next month.
I'm absolutely obsessed with the chicks, as are my kids. They're looking forward to eggs, as am I since we use a lot with homemade pastas.
Looking forward to getting to see more chickens!
