    Hello!
I wasn't sure whether to put this in Everything Else Chicken or Raising Baby Chicks; but as sometimes you name an older chicken Everthing Else seemed appropriate. Mods, please move it if you don't think it belongs here!

This is basically a list of names that might be good for chickens. My favorites are Lalli, "babbler" because there's a loud chicken in every flock. And Danior, "born with teeth". That one's just good for laughs.

Please add to this list! If you have a name that you think is WAY too awesome to not be shared, please tell us! I'll keep adding, too.

    Girl's Names:
    Esperanza- hope (Spanish)
    Lacy- cheerful (Latin)

Lulabelle is one of my BRs. Carmine is a Blue Andalusian. My Black Copper Marans have French names: Lisette, Nanette, Giselle, Louis Rex and Jean-Phillipe. I'd like to name one Turkey (I already have a cat named Monkey).

I just call everyone Mr Chicken.

But then as far as I know I only have ONE pullet.

I don't think the guineas mind, as long as I feed them and let them outside to scratch around the ant hills.

I name all my chickens Mary....... something in alphabetical order. Mary Anne, Mary Beth, Mary Catherine, Mary Ellen, Mary Frances, and so on. No, I am not catholic but do love the sound of the double names.

When I call them, I just holler......MARY....MARY......and here they come.

    Anne
