Hello! I wasn't sure whether to put this in Everything Else Chicken or Raising Baby Chicks; but as sometimes you name an older chicken Everthing Else seemed appropriate. I have ONLY named 2 of mine . BIG ROOSTER is named BIG RED ( RIR ) and one of my rir pullets is kinda lighter in color compared to the rest of the flock ... SO , we have named her Barbara Jean AS ON REBA . LMAO Hoping she is not a weird BLONDE THO . LOL

Lulabelle is one of my BRs. Carmine is a Blue Andalusian. My Black Copper Marans have French names: Lisette, Nanette, Giselle, Louis Rex and Jean-Phillipe. I'd like to name one Turkey (I already have a cat named Monkey).
I just call everyone Mr Chicken. But then as far as I know I only have ONE pullet. I don't think the guineas mind, as long as I feed them and let them outside to scratch around the ant hills.
My girls are Wilma because she is always cleaning the coop and is the one i could see being a mama later on then betty boop because she is flirt and Lucy Recardo because she is a redhead and when you say lucy I'm home she hops up on the back deck.

I have a hyper-active chick named Thumper, and another chick is named Halulu, which means "loud, roaring thunder" . It's Hawian. (I know I didn't spell that right...)
I name all my chickens Mary....... something in alphabetical order. Mary Anne, Mary Beth, Mary Catherine, Mary Ellen, Mary Frances, and so on. No, I am not catholic but do love the sound of the double names. When I call them, I just holler......MARY....MARY......and here they come. Anne
