That's how I name mine since they're all the same color and shape. I can't tell them apart and use numbered leg bands.

How many need names? Looks like 2 or 3?
Top one: Little Crow, 2nd black one: Big Daddy, 3rd one: Freckles

They're not names, they're numbers. With 4 birds you may be able to tell them apart.
My avatar is a Black Penedesenca, the breed I raise. As adolesents, I couldn't tell my penes from my Aorps. The only way I knew who was who is that the Aorp pullets would hang out together.






How could you tell these girls apart enough to name them?










Your australorps will have red earlobes. Penedesencas and Empordanesas are the only breeds with white earlobes and lay a brown egg.
